For #19 ascolta, we open an acoustic field from the ICST Studio Residencies 2025: three positions, three distinct ways of placing memory, presence, and imagination in Ambisonics.

Ana González Gamboa — Lúmina

Lúmina creates a space of travel fragments, inner images, and fictional overlays.
The composition moves between intimacy and distance, asking how personal and collective sonic memory can resonate within an immersive field.

Nandele Maguni — Kampfumo

Built from field recordings in Maputo, this work unfolds as a moving sonic body: urban impulses, voices, and frictions condense into an acousmatic topography. Kampfumo hears the city not as a backdrop, but as social energy in motion.

Youngjae Cho — cycle: incarnations – II. narthex (2025)

A park that first appears concrete shifts into a zone between proximity and distance: insect flight, distant birds, footsteps, wet surfaces, metal, children’s voices.
What seems familiar gradually destabilizes until memory returns as an acoustic present.
