What the residency offers

Residents work in the ICST Composition Studio with its multi-channel speaker arrays and the full ICST Ambisonics production setup. The ICST team provides technical onboarding on the plugins and workflows β€” no prior Ambisonics experience is required. Sessions typically run one to four weeks, either as a single block or spread across several dates. Residencies connect to the ASCOLTA listening series, giving artists the opportunity to present work-in-progress to an audience.

Who can apply

The programme is open to composers, sound designers, and electroacoustic artists with a focus on spatial sound. Applications are handled through ZHdK via Residency A β€” the official ICST studio residency programme.
